Patti Sharp (nee Daly), of Barrington, NJ, passed on June 26, 2020 at the age of 58. Patti passed away comfortably, surrounded by her beloved family. Loving mother of Katie Sapia (Jim), Samantha Sharp and Courtney Porado (Paul). Devoted grandmother “Gammy” of Makayla, Oliver, Jaxson, and Mason. Cooper, family dog, sure will miss sharing Burger King meals with her. Beloved sister of the late Keri Ragona. Survived by her caring nieces, nephews and former spouse Frank Sharp. Donald L. Graff of Haddon Heights, formerly of Merchantville, passed away on May 9, 2020, at the age of 87. Beloved father of Lisa M. Cornely (Frank), Andrea D. Racobaldo (Dominic) and Mark L. Graff (Katie). Loving grandfather of Frank, William, Maureen, Matthew, Thomas and Alaina Cornely; Laura, Dominic, Andrew, Cara and Abbie Racobaldo; Mark, Maura and Emma Graff. Devoted great grandfather of Caroline Cornely. Don's family moved to Merchantville when he was a child. He attended Merchantville Elementary School and then graduated from Merchantville High School. Cindy Hertneck, member of Merchantville's Garden Club & Incredible Edible, will often be seen elbow deep in vegetation spots around town working hard to keep our community sustainable and beautiful. Every year Garden Club volunteers plant, weed and water an abundance of foliage around town including planters throughout the downtown, at Borough Hall, along the bike path, the Merchantville Circle garden, Morrissey Park, and adjacent to Cigar Alley. Beloved wife of 53 years to the late Leonard F. Formanek. Born in 1929 in Philadelphia to the late Collette A. (Rowan) and William S. Gannon and raised during the Great Depression in the Cramer Hill section of Camden. Colette worked as a long-distance operator for Bell Telephone in the Bourse Building in Philadelphia. After her marriage in 1950, Colette raised her nine children over the span of four decades in Paulsboro, East Camden and Merchantville. She is survived by her nine children, Colette (David) New of Tabernacle; Barbara (Charles Stevenson) Formanek of Williamsburg, VA; Judith (Theodore) Pettek of Toms River; Leonard (Sharon) of Charlotte, NC; Eileen (Charles) Gorman of Camden; Joseph (Cynthia) Formanek of Coopersburg, PA; Maria (Thomas) Murt of Hatboro, PA; Lisa (Patrick) Roche of Doylestown, PA; Michele (Stephen) Pedrani of Neshanic Station, and a legacy of 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Mary F. Gaskill-Santana of Cherry Hill passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020. She was 73. Born in Pittsburgh, she was a graduate of Rutgers University and a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Merchantville, where she served as an Elder. Mary had also worked as a Training Specialist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and was a make-up artist for Estee Lauder. Wife of the late Lawrence Santana, she is survived by her brother, William Gaskill (Jean); a sister, Patricia Eckersley (Jack); two step-children, David Santana (Taiza) and Patricia Grasso (Robert). Patricia M. Evans (nee Hickey), age 75 of Merchantville passed away peacefully at Virtua-Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, New Jersey on Thursday, May 21, 2020. Born May 1, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA to James V. Hickey and Catherine C. Hickey. She worked at JC Penny in Cherry Hill Mall where she retired after over 30 years, then worked at McFarlan’s Market in Merchantville for 7 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert W. Evans. Devoted mother to her two children, Tricia Evans and Amy Evans. Beloved sister, Mary Jane (Jim) Mallon. Full obituary.
Anna Francis Lundquist, 94, of East Burke, VT and formerly of Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020, after a period of declining health at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center. Fran, as her family called her, was born on May 13, 1926, in Philadelphia, Pa. to Harold M. and Anna M. (Potreau) Purnell. She was raised and educated in Merchantville, N.J. Following WWII, from 1949 to 1953, Fran served in the U.S. Navy as part of WAVE, servicewomen who took over land postings to free up men for sea duty. She worked for several places but spent a number of years with Blue Cross Blue Shield as an auditor. Fran moved to Vermont in 2007 to be close to her sister.
