Ellen Salmon, 84
Ellen Jane Salmon (nee Hare), 84, passed peacefully on 10/12/22. Married to her Moorestown High School sweetheart, Albert (predeceased), for 60 years, she was happiest when surrounded by her children Cindy Newcomb (Bob), Steve Salmon (Pat) and Anne Schuler (Bob), 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, multiple nieces, nephews, and her beloved friends and church fellow members. Her love of travel took her from NJ to Florida, England, Alaska and Hawaii and many other places too numerous to mention. Her love of scrapbooking was a testament to her love of travel and was a source of great enjoyment amongst her family to see how many pictures can fit into one small house! Funeral service will be held 11 am, Tuesday, October 18th at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. John "Jack" R. Dillon, III passed away peacefully on June 5, 2022 at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. Born in Camden to John R. And Cecilia M. Dillon, John was 74 years old. He was a resident of Moorestown for the last 24 years and formerly lived in Merchantville & Pennsauken. Husband of 51 years to Marion D. (nee Max) Dillon. Loving father of John (Laura) Dillon IV and Brian (Melissa) Dillon. Cherished Pop Pop to Patrick, Ryan, Kayla and Krista. Dear brother of Michael L. (Marie) Dillon, Carol M. (Matthew) Berghof and the late James M. (Christine) Dillon. Jack served his country in the National Guard during the Vietnam War and was 1st Vice President Financial Advisor for Morgan Stanley in Mt. Vera Hyncik, 93
Vera Charlotte Hyncik (nee Zydor), a resident of Wiley in Marlton, formerly of New York City, Merchantville, and Mt Laurel, died on February 26, 2022 at age 93. Her husband of 70 years, Bill Hyncik, predeceased her in 2019. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Holly Sukenik (John), son, William (Marilyn), seven grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.Vera and Bill's third child, Lee Jay, passed in 1984. While the children were in school, Vera pursued her nursing career at Cooper Hospital, and also served on the Merchantville PTA and Board of Education. Robert Gerold, 58
Robert J. Gerold "Robbie" passed away peacefully on October 17, 2021 with his loving family by his side. He is the beloved husband of Doreen Gerold (nee Kozak). Devoted father of Jamie Deeley (Brad), Ryan Gerold (Lauren), Gavin Gerold, Nolan Gerold, Owen Gerold, and Pop of Bradley, Reese, Ryen, Brennan, and Colin. Cherished son of Robert and Marie (nee Gaul) Gerold. Loving brother of Teresa Ruisch, Brian Gerold, Christina Lucia, and Marie McCrea (Ed). Dear son in law of Jean and the late Martin Kozak and brother in law of Marty Kozak, David Kozak (Richelle), Michael Kozak (Donna) and Cheryl Kozak. Raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, he attended St. Anne School and North Catholic High School then, moved to Merchantville and quickly became the "self proclaimed" Mayor. He enjoyed listening to music and drinking beers with family and friends in his backyard "paradise", was the life of the party and always made you feel like you were family. Diagnosed with metastatic melanoma in 2011, he fought courageously through many clinical trials that gave him more ten years and will save countless others. Nancy Anne Carroll of Holland, PA died peacefully on Wednesday September 22, 2021 at her residence at Holland Village. She was 90 years young. Born in Pittsburgh, Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Thomas W. Carroll, who died in 1997. Daughter of the late Albert and Catherine (Chambers) Doughty of Pittsburgh, PA. She formerly lived in Merchantville NJ, Bensalem, Philadelphia and Leesburg FL. Her professional career spanned many years in the insurance industry, having worked for Richard Hardenberg Insurance, Group of Marlton, NJ and retired from Cigna Insurance Co. Phila, as an Executive Manager. Nancy Anne is survived by her daughter Patricia (Carroll) Haneman and her husband Niel of Washington Crossing, PA and her 3 devoted grandchildren; Colin, Chelsea and Kylee Haneman. Full obituary.

On May 21, 2021, age 59, of Pennsauken, NJ. He was the beloved father of Michael (Michelle), Philip (Emily), Ashley Siciliano (Michael), Jeremy (Nicole), Debbie Ann Juliano (Jim), Dylan and the late Thomas M. Jr. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; his former wife Debbie (nee Dawson); two sisters Terry Murphy and Donna Bocolo and one brother John Segrest. Matt Gilliss, 44
Matthew J. Gilliss, D.O. of Haddon Heights, NJ died tragically in a motor vehicle accident in Cherry Hill, NJ during a storm Sunday evening, April 11, 2021. Matt was the youngest child of Dr. Alfred G. "Doc" and Barbara (nee Roller) Gilliss, Jr. and grew up in Merchantville with brothers David and Adam and, sister, Amy. Matt leaves his beloved wife Dr. Heather Crawford and their three treasured children, Gavin, Gabriel and Bella. He was a primary care physician and partner in an Advocare practice in Mt. Rosemary C. Bradley
Bradley, Rosemary C. (nee Conover), passed away peacefully, on March 15, 2021. She was 82 years old. Rosemary was a true "South Jersey Girl", raised in Kramer Hill and Merchantville where she was a majorette and graduate of the Merchantville High School Class of 1956. She always remained involved in the high school alumni association and reunion planning, with most recently her 65th reunion coming up. She was a longtime employee with New Jersey Bell then AT&T and retired after managing the Cherry Hill and Burlington Phone Center Stores. Rosemary was the cherished daughter of the late James and Rose (nee Hewitt) Conover, daughter-in-law to the late Mason E. Sr. and Anne G. Bradley and former wife of Mason E. Bradley, Jr. (Marlene). Loving mother of Michelle A. Bradley, Mason E. Bradley III and his wife, Tracey and Sandra L. Bradley. Predeceased by her beloved grandson Richard James 'RJ' Vogel. Loving grandmother of Connor Harris, Madison and Nora Bradley and dear great-grandmother of Rjay Michael Vogel. Dearly loved sister of Elmer Conover (the late Bunny), the late James Conover (the late Adella, Jean), the late Ronald Conover (Barbara), and aunt to many nieces and nephews as well as grand & great nieces and nephews. On Feb. 16, 2021, Joanna M. Thomas (nee Tortorella) of Cherry Hill, formerly of Haddonfield. Beloved mother of Adam Thomas of Long Beach, NY and Oren R. Thomas, IV of Atlantic City, NJ; Loving grandmother of Oren V. Also survived by former daughter-in-law Erin Egan. Joanna was a teacher of British Literature at Camden Catholic HS (1985-2000) and of American Literature at Washington Township HS (2000-2013). Joanna loved animals, the environment, traveling once a year as well as being an avid and excellent bridge player. CCHS remembered Ms. Thomas as an incredible teacher who influenced many during her tenure where her passion for literature no doubt inspired many to explore their writing talents in college and beyond.
