Marie D. Peze, 99

Marie Peze (nee Dunleavy), age 99 of Merchantville passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Richard J. Peze; devoted mother of Richard Peze of Peachtree City, GA, Gary Peze (Diane) of Merchantville and Janice Withers (Dominic) of Tabernacle. Marie is survived by eight grandchildren, Siri Lackovic (Paul), Jeffrey Peze (Monica), Jessica Hickenbottom (William), Brett Peze (Jayne), David Peze (Amy), Ritchie Mazzaglia (Joy), Jillian Ormsby (Christopher), Ashley Cardini (Michael); eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by all seven of her siblings and their spouses. Marie was a 29 year resident of Holiday City in Williamstown and a leader in the Girl Scouts and Boys Scouts. She was an active church member and worked as a bookkeeper for various companies ultimately retiring from Dunleavy’s Restaurant in Hainesport. She was an avid traveler and travel organizer. She particularly enjoyed traveling with her sisters Florence and Helen. Full obituary.

Sue Baldwin, 68

Susan Virginia Baldwin (nee Froyd), of Marlton, passed away suddenly on March 9, 2020. She was 68 years old. Susan was the beloved wife of Thomas Fay Baldwin for 49 years. Loving mother of Christopher Robert Baldwin and Jeffrey Thomas Baldwin (Erin). Cherished grandmother of Abigail Gray and Eleanor Fay Baldwin. Dear sister of Michael Froyd and aunt of his children, Jesse and Rebecca Froyd. Sue, Tom and their boys resided in Merchantville for many years. Marjorie Ann Stein

Marjorie Ann (Margie) Stein, 85, peacefully passed away on February 28, 2020. Margie was born in Camden, lived in Pennsauken and graduated from Merchantville High School. She was a teller for Merchantville Bank, First Fidelity Bank, and, in the summers while staying in Strathmere, she worked at the Sea Isle Bank. Margie also worked as a teacher’s aide in the Pennsauken school system and retired from the Better Business Bureau in the late 1990s. Margie was an active member of her high school reunion committee for many years and a member of the Merchantville Eastern Star for 60 years. She was also a member and Sunday school teacher at Grace Episcopal Church in Merchantville. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday March 5, 2020 at 11:00AM at The Godfery Funeral Home of Palermo. Full obituary.

Cheryl Disch, 57

Cheryl A. Disch, age 57, of Merchantville NJ passed away suddenly at home on January 19, 2020. She was a Senior Manager-Marketing Information Systems with Duane Morris, LLP in Philadelphia, PA. Cheryl was also a graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in Communications. She was past co-chair of ILTA, an avid Buffalo Bills fan, Disney devotee and dog lover. She is survived by her parents Robert and Marge (nee Zuk) Disch, one sister Karen Disch and many loving cousins, aunts and uncles. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday from 2:00 PM-4:00 p.m. and 7:00 PM-9:00 p.m. in the Alloway Funeral Home, 315 E. Maple Avenue Merchantville, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private. Stephanie Beth Heller

On Monday; January 20, 2020, at age 61, Stephanie Beth Heller (Cooper) of Merchantville, NJ, previously of Delray Beach, FL passed peacefully after a long battle with lung cancer. She was the beloved mother of Ross Heller (Erica) and Abby Segal (Lee), wife of Mitchell Heller, sister of Linda Kerner (Steven) and Steven Shear, and daughter of Debbie Cooper. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her father Jerald Cooper, her mother Rochelle Cooper and her sister Terri Cooper. Stephanie was a dedicated mother to her two children as well as the many students she nurtured as a teacher in the Philadelphia City School District. She spent 10 years teaching full time in a city that she loved. Full obituary.

Theresa North, 96

Theresa Pino North, of Burlington, passed away on Tuesday, January 14th at Virtua Rehabilitation, Lumberton, N.J. She was 96. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Herbert North, Jr. She leaves behind her three children, Frank M. North (Lynn) of Merchantville, N.J., Edna North Boyer of Burlington, N.J. and Terri North Lenhart of Asheville, N.C., also long time loving companion, Fran (Elmer) Verner. Theresa also leaves behind two sisters, Frances Smith of Levittown, Pa. and Catherine Miller of Exeter, N.H., her sister-in-law, Yvonne North Astor (Richard) of Burlington, N.J., plus 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to the Children's Home Society, 635 S. Nunzio 'Buzzy' Bianco

Nunzio J. “Buzzy” Bianco Jr., longtime Merchantville resident passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019. He was 88. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Buzzy had retired after many years working as a skilled Millwright for the Millwright and Erectors Local 1906. Joseph W. Corney Jr., age 86 formerly of Pennsauken, passed away at Cooper Medical Center in Camden on October, 23, 2019. Linda Jean Maratea, age 71, (nee Morgan) of Ocean Pines, MD formerly of Merchantville, NJ moved from this life early Tuesday morning September 17, 2019. She is survived by her husband and love of her life for 53 years James M. Maratea, and children Jenny A. Karpinski (Jim), Jill M. Forte (Michael) and Patrick J. Maratea (Elizabeth). She was the adored grandmother of Elizabeth, Julia, Francesca and Lainey. She is survived by her brother Bruce Morgan and was predeceased by a brother Daniel Morgan.
