Hidden Gem
Bluejeanfood - better known as Derek Timm host of Small Bites the #1 listed "Food Radio Show Philadelphia & South Jersey" by Wildfire Radio - recently posted a review of Rasta Kitchen in Merchantville's West End on his "Quick Bites/Takeout" page. This place is a South Jersey hidden gem. Not only was the drink great, the meal was amazing. From the jerk chicken, plantains, rice, and cabbage everything was cooked perfectly and tasty as could be. It was very affordable as well for the amount of food provided. If you love Jamaican food or happen to be in the area you should give them a try for sure.
Ellen Salmon, 84
Ellen Jane Salmon (nee Hare), 84, passed peacefully on 10/12/22. Married to her Moorestown High School sweetheart, Albert (predeceased), for 60 years, she was happiest when surrounded by her children Cindy Newcomb (Bob), Steve Salmon (Pat) and Anne Schuler (Bob), 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, multiple nieces, nephews, and her beloved friends and church fellow members. Her love of travel took her from NJ to Florida, England, Alaska and Hawaii and many other places too numerous to mention. Her love of scrapbooking was a testament to her love of travel and was a source of great enjoyment amongst her family to see how many pictures can fit into one small house! Funeral service will be held 11 am, Tuesday, October 18th at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
