PTA Pumpkin Patch

Please save the date for the Merchantville School PTA's 2nd annual Pumpkin Patch! Saturday, 10/27/18 from 10am - 2pm! - Centre Street Gazebo along the bike path, right across the street from our always wonderful Merchantville Market Off Centre! Our 2018 Patch will feature: Pumpkins to creatively decorate, Fun, Halloween-themed games, Festive foods, Free, fun contests (Donut eating at 11am, "Mummy Me" at 12 p.m., Costume parade at 1 p.m., Costume donations for children in need - bring your gently used (or new!) costumes to donate and receive one free ticket for a game or food! 100% of proceeds benefit programs at Merchantville School.

Society looks to honor homeowners

The Merchantville Historical Society is searching for candidates to be recipients of an award certificate for the interior or exterior appearance of their homes. It’s our way to reach out to let you know that your efforts have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated. You will be invited to share your old house adventures with the members of the Society at a gathering at the home of Peter and Jane Homon, 40 E. Walnut Avenue, on Wednesday, February 27, at 7:30PM.

Merchantvile gets funding for firefighting

Fire departments in Merchantville and Audubon will receive approximately $486,000 in federal funding to hire firefighters and purchase equipment. The grants announced on Wednesday, 1/23, will be used to add three firefighters in Merchantville and 33 self-contained breathing apparatuses in Audubon, according to U.S. Rep. Rob Andrews, D-N.J. Merchantville is receiving the bulk of the grant at $300,000.

COMMUNITY...that's what our Farmers Market is all about...bringing neighbors together with the farmers and artisans who take the care to grow, bake, craft, and produce wonderfully local and sustainable foods and crafts for you and your families. Former mayor appointed trustee

On October 15th The Lourdes Health System appointed six members to its board of trustees. Dr. Emmanuel Ashong of Voorhees is a pediatrician and the director of medical education at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden. Patrick Brennan of Merchantville is president of Brennan Title Abstract, a title insurance agency.

The enrollment period begins in October and continues through December.
