The Merchantville Historical Society is searching for candidates to be recipients of an award certificate for the interior or exterior appearance of their homes. It’s our way to reach out to let you know that your efforts have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated. You will be invited to share your old house adventures with the members of the Society at a gathering at the home of Peter and Jane Homon, 40 E. Walnut Avenue, on Wednesday, February 27, at 7:30PM.

At this meeting you will be encouraged to share your old house experiences. What were your successes? Failures? Hidden treasures? Problems? Photographs can be brought and shared. We are also always interested in the names of contractors that you may recommend. The Preservation Evening prize, a sketch of your house, will be selected by random drawing of those present that evening. A number of years have lapsed since our last Preservation Evening, thus, we are expanding our field to include homeowners who have been restoring and renovating their homes over the past several years. In an effort to be as inclusive town-wise as possible, we turn to our fellow Merchantvillians to refer themselves or others to us.
