Spring Beer Fest 2022
Goodbye Winter, and Hello Spring! You’re invited to our annual Spring Fest on Saturday, June 11th from 5:00-9:00 p.m., hosted by Blue Monkey Tavern and Niagara Fire Company. Join us for tastings of beers, select wines, music, food, fun and more! A portion of the proceeds will support Merchantville’s Niagara Fire Company and our local first responders. Must have valid state ID and ticket (printed or mobile) to be admitted. Designated Drivers - FREE TO ATTEND! Please indicate you are a DD at the door to be stamped. All DD’s must be 21 years of age or older to enter – no exceptions - and will not be permitted to consume any alcohol onsite at the event.
William Metzler III
William Brookes Metzler III passed away peacefully at his home in Merchantville on April 24, 2021. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Margaret (Zell) Metzler; He was a loving father to William "Billy" Metzler (Susan) and Jonathan Metzler (Leslie); Devoted and proud grandfather of Jonathan, Andrew and Joseph; Dear brother of Jeraldine (Harvey), Mary (Jerry), Anthony and Sabine (Dan). Bill happily and lovingly served his community throughout his life. In recent years, Bill also enjoyed serving the community through volunteering with the Niagara Fire Company and even working as a crossing guard for the children of Merchantville school. Beer Lovers Crowd FallFest
The Blue Monkey Tavern & Niagara Fire Company FallFest returned to Merchantville last evening to classic autumn weather. A crowd of more than 500 beer-lovers sampled 90 beers on tap, including from regional favorites Cape May Brewing, Dogfish Head Brewing and Kane Brewing. Your friend. Wine drinkers were also kept happy with white and red Pinos. Food was plentiful thanks to Marys Mobile Diner, Red's Rolling Restaurant and Just Fork It Food Truck and Caterer. The Blue Monkey Tavern & Niagara Fire Company FallFest returns on October 5th at 5 p.m. This annual celebration on Centre Street in Merchantville will offer over 75 beers to sample, including from regional favorites Cape May Brewing, Dogfish Head Brewing and Kane Brewing.
