Love In Bloom
On Wednesday, June 23rd, Love in Motion Youth Group was at Charlie's Crepes spending a beautiful afternoon collaborating on an activity designed to spread a little love around our community! Charlie’s wife, Lisa Koory, who meticulously tends to Little Blooming Garden - a beautiful flower garden on site at the restaurant - generously donated jars, flowers and her time so youth group members could make little floral arrangements with cards and special sentiments for various members, teachers and businesses in the Merchantville community. Love in Motion was thankful for the opportunity to spread some love and highly recommends enjoying some crepes while taking in the natural beauty of Lisa's gardens!
Food Shops in the News
Courier-Post writer, Tammy Paolino, recently penned a piece on "A food geek's guide to best dishes in South Jersey, still available as takeout". The article shared local places to find incredible "drive-by" food while social distancing. And, it was no surprise to us that two of Merchantville's eateries, Charlies Crepes and Park Place Cafe & Restaurant, took the spotlight. Featured were Charlie's seasonal crepes with crispy potato croquettes or spicy deviled eggs and, ice cream flavors from Chef Manganaro that compliment his juicy burgers and celebrate the region, like the Cherry Bomb or Merchantville Mudslide. And, on June 8th, Tammy featured The Juice Bar owners, Seth Amoah and Kelli Mouzon, in her article about black business owners in SJ. The cafe is touted as "a healthy oasis in the heart of Merchantville" offering fresh pressed juices, smoothies, salads, panini and vegan options.

There were more than 99 responses and 9 shares on this post and the answer was a resounding "no". Visitors to his post shared many great ideas - from cooking classes, a wall mural and posting weekly menus to marketing to local sports teams, BYOB bachelorettes and pop-up events.
