Valentine's Day Delights

Aunt Charlotte's Candies is ready and Valentines Day will be here before you know it. Merchantville's historic candy and gift shop, located at 5 West Maple Avenue, promises a "Delight In Every Bite!" For over 100 years the Oakford family has created unique chocolates and many other delicious treats for our sweethearts and their sales girls will take great care of you. Shopping hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:30 to 5:30, Friday from 9:30 to 6:00 and Saturday from 9:30 to 5:30. Aunt Charlotte's offers curbside pick up or can ship a Valentine treat to anyone you wish! Come early and miss the crowds!

Virginia 'Bunny' Oakford

Virginia "Bunny" Oakford (nee Hudson), age 93 years of Cinnaminson, passed away on December 10, 2019.  Beloved wife of the late C. Brooks Oakford.  Devoted mother of Candy "Virginia" Curry (Neal), Gail Humes (Dave), Randy Oakford and Penny Trost (Rick).  Loving grandmother of Dana Cornog (John), Clay Curry (Sarah), Dave Humes, Ryan Trost (Sarah) and Cara Trost and great grandmother of Kayleigh, Tyler, Casey, Caitlin, Loa, and Charlotte.  Dear sister of the late Peggy Morrow.
Prior to retirement, Bunny was owner and operator of Aunt Charlotte's Candies in Merchantville since 1947. A Memorial Service will be held in the near future. Falco-Caruso Funeral Home. Courier-Post article.

Trick or Treat Downtown

On Halloween - Thursday, October 31st - look for the red flyer in local business windows for Safe Trick-or-Treating in the downtown. Participating Monsterville businesses will display this red flyer for any little ghosts, ghouls or goblins who'd like to get some candy for their goodie bag. And, don't forget to stop by Aunt Charlotte's to get some of their red delicious apples dipped in their one of kind caramel or red candy coating. Charlie and her Chocolate Factory. Candy Workers Needed

Aunt Charlotte's Candies is hiring! We need factory workers to help in the making of our delicious candies. This includes feeding and taking candy off the belt and many other jobs. This position is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Enjoy summers off with an unemployment benefit until the last week of August. It's a great job for people with young children! If interested, stop by our store at 5 West Maple Avenue in Merchantville.
