Today our youth group, Love in Motion, spent time with the residents at Golden Rehabilitation and Nursing in Salem, NJ. They talked and painted, passed out toiletries and magazines - thank you to those who donated - and gave out vases of flowers to brighten up their rooms. We plan to go back very soon to do more activities! We finished this beautiful day with a picnic to celebrate our wonderful youth volunteers for Global Youth Service Day. We are so proud of them and all they have been doing. Love in Motion is a place for young people to come together to engage in conversation, learn about community, give back, volunteer, and be a part of something bigger than themselves.

The club is made up of 3rd graders - sprouts - and 4th graders - saplings - who meet after school on Thursdays from spring through fall to rake and plant. They have an annual plot at the Community Center community garden. Thank you Merchantville Garden Club for making the library look so welcoming!
