The Haunts of Monsterville decorating contest returns! Merchantville's transformation to Monsterville has begun! Think you have the most haunting home in Merchantville worthy of the golden broomstick? Put your creativity to the test and register for the Haunts of Merchantville Home Decorating Contest! Please register no later than Oct. 17. New in 2022, all participating homes will be included in the Haunts of Merchantville Hayrides Oct 28 & 29. Pumpkin Painting Contest
Kick off Merchantville's October 2019 Monsterville at a First Friday Pumpkin Painting Contest. Stop by the Monsterville pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin out then, grab some paint and let your creative juices flow. The contest will take place on Saturday, October 4th from run from 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.Judging of the best painted pumpkin will take place at 8:00 p.m. Pumpkins and paint will be provided. Kids can sign up for this event at the 9/21 or 9/28 Farmers Market. First Friday is a monthly night market from June to October with food trucks, vendors, live music, movies and fun for the whole family!

Double the fun!
Ocean City held its annual Twins Contest on July 31st in front of the Music Pier on the Boardwalk. It's one of Ocean City's most popular and fun events and, yes you are seeing double! The event awarded prizes to identical and fraternal twins gathered to those who look the most and least alike in different age groups from 5 and under to adult.. The adults most alike were Nancy Logan and Jean Conover of Chambersburg Pa. The adults least alike were Mildred Henderson of Lancaster, Pa., and Lucille Roberts of Merchantville, N.J. Congratulations, Lucille!
