Starting on or about Monday, October 12, 2026 – weather permitting – road improvements will begin on Somerset Avenue and Westminster Avenue. The project will take place on Somerset Avenue from Westminster Avenue to Plymouth Place and on Westminster Avenue at the intersection of Somerset Avenue. The scope of work includes removing and replacing curbs, sidewalks, and the driveway apron. The project also consists of milling and paving of the existing roadway. Notices have been sent to residents and business owners and the Borough will send out another notice prior to the start of these operations. During construction please do not park on Somerset Avenue or the intersection of Westminster Avenue.
The contractor will ensure that all trash and recycling trucks can access the area, so there will be no interference with pick-up schedules. We will do our best to minimize any inconvenience.
