The backstop at Wellwood Park has been repaired after being damaged by a fallen tree several months ago. Take advantage of this family-friendly field space to enjoy a pick up game of baseball or softball in the park. We look forward to seeing Merchantville Little League return to the park for games and practices - as they did in the '80's and '90's.

The interactive PSE& G Outage Map showed that fewer than 5 customers had reported they were affected by the storms that blew through the borough a fer hours ago. The outages were first reported around 5:18 a.m. and electricity is expected to be restored by 10:30 a.m. The reports are from the east side of town on Franklin Avenue and west side on Springfield.

From June to October, on the First Friday of each month, Merchantville will run a Night Market with fun for the whole family including food trucks, vendors, live music, movies and more in the downtown along Chestnut and Centre streets. Many local food businesses and retail shops will be open late and word on the street is that Merchantville will be celebrating their 148th Birthday during opening night with a bounce house, some activities for kids. The site assigned ratings to towns with populations of 1,500-plus based on factors such as schools, safety, affordability and diversity. Merchantville ranked #7 in Camden County, but we think it's #1.
