Merchantville Library

Merchantville Public Library has been part of the Camden County Library system since 1928. It is located on the first floor of the Merchantville Public School and has been a joint project between the Merchantville Board of Education and the Camden County Library system since 1998.

Homework Help offered through the Library

With the start of another school year, it’s useful to know how much reliable information  younger students and parents can find to do homework from a home Internet connection through services offered by the Camden County Library System. New this year, the library is providing library card holders free access on its website to the services of Tutor.com. Students and adult learners can get one-on-one online tutoring to help with their homework questions athttp://www.camdencountylibrary.org/tutor.

Get Ready For Fall Holidays

"Pumpkin Painting Party" on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for kids of all ages. The library will provide the paint and the pumpkins. You provide the creativity. And, "Not All Brooms are Created Equal" on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. for kids of all ages. Make a clean sweep of the holidays with a cinnamon broom that has an aromatic cinnamon scent. Add your own flare with an assortment of long stemmed grasses and grains, ribbon, and more! Presented by Rachelle Hasenberg of Inspirational Horticultural Therapy.

Get a Kids Kit today!

Kids Kits are a new service offered by the Camden County Library System at Merchantville and its seven other branches throughout the county. Each pack contains four or five books with a common theme, a list of related songs, rhymes and a suggestion for a simple craft. Members of the library can check out Kids’ Kits for a three-week period

Learn pasta making from the best!

Joseph and Anna Maria Severino learned the art of pasta making from Umberto Casoli, an artisinal pasta maker in Italy. In 1971 they returned to America with recipes in hand and introduced their uniquely handcrafted pasta products made from 100% semolina flour. For over 35 years the family shop in Haddon Twp. has been known as the place to find authentic richly flavored pasta. Join Carla Severino on Wednesday, May 29th from 7-8 p.m. at the Merchantville Library and learn the secrets of making authentic pasta dishes. Register here.

During National Library Week the library’s youngest customers are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal friends to share a scrumptious spread of treats during our "Brunch with a Buddy" program in Merchantville on Wednesday, April 17th at 3:30 p.m. Brick 4 Kidz will be visiting our branch to challenge the imagination of older kids with specially designed Lego projects on Wednesday, May 22th at 3:30 p.m. Join Carla Severino on Wednesday, May 29th at 7 p.m. to learn the secrets of making authentic pasta dishes. Get magazines through County Library

Beginning in February, customers with a Camden County Library card will be able to download over 100 popular magazines through Zinio, a digital newsstand offered to subscribing libraries. Magazines will be easy to download and view on a computer or on a range of mobile devices, including the iPad, Android tablet and the Kindle Fire. The service will provide access to a range of magazines popular with customers, including Consumer Reports, Car & Driver, Ladies Home Journal, Vibe, VIV Magazine and Newsweek, which is no longer available in a print version. All magazines will be complete editions, with some including enhanced content such as audio and video. There is no waiting list and no need to return issues.

Join other adults for screening and discussion of classic films. Bring your dinner in a sack. We have the water and snack. Call for titles.
