BOE Meetings on Zoom
The Merchantville Board of Education meetings will continue to be accessible via a zoom webinar through August 2020. Due to the Corona virus (COVID-19), the Merchantville Board of Education public meetings are being held online using Zoom, a cloud-based video conferencing tool. These instructions are provided for your convenience and are intended to assist persons in accessing and/or participating in public meetings. If you have questions, prior to the meeting you may call the Main Office during business hours at (856) 663-1091. However, any technical questions should be sent directly to Zoom.
July BOE Meeting
Agenda items for approval at the July 23rd Board of Education meeting included extending the Early Dismissal time for Merchantville School to 12:45 p.m. - previously 12:30 - Early Dismissal Days will run from 8:20 – 12:45 with bag lunches being served to all students in the school. Approval of tuition contracts with Kingsway and YALE schools for students, and the tuition contract with Haddon Heights Board of Education for regular education tuition, special education tuition, and 2017-2018 tuition adjustment in the amount of $2,080,634.00 for the 2019-2020 school year. The BOE July agenda addendum was for hiring approval of Christina Folk as a part-time Mathematics teacher starting September 1, 2019 at BA Step 3. CH BOE Forum Tonight
The Cherry Hill Board of Education will hold a moderated forum ahead of its regular meeting Tuesday evening to interview four replacement candidates for a pair of vacancies created by the resignations of board members David Rossi and Edward Wang on June 11th and 25th. The board whittled the candidate pool down to four hopefuls in executive-session interviews: Rosy Arroyo, Emily Capella, Corrien Elmore Stratton, and Ben Ovadia. All four will participate in a public information session at 5 p.m. July 9, during which each will have the opportunity to deliver opening and closing remarks and to answer interview questions from the governing body. The proceedings will be livestreamed by the district.
