Plans for the Borough's 2013 Holiday festivities are underway including the much anticipated evening parade. Public Events volunteers were busy Saturday trimming the boro tree, hanging seasonal street decor and readying the Santa House for he holidays. Enjoy the schedule of events and experience the difference that shopping in your own home town offers. Merchantville boasts a variety of businesses from gift, handcraft and antique shops to markets, cafes, restaurants and florists.

HOLIDAY EVENTS

Holiday Tree lighting and Downtown Shopping will take place at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, December 6th. Rescheduled to 12/7/13 at 7 p.m.

Merchantville Christmas Parade will be held Friday evening, Friday, December 6th. Parade participants will meet to line up at Wellwood Park by 6:00 p.m. for a start time of 6:45 p.m.

Aunt Charlotte's Tours Monday through Saturday during business hours. Be sure to stop by and take a tour of the candy factory to see where all the magic happens.website

 

The St. Peter PTA’s Annual Christmas Bazaar will be held on Friday, December 6th from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday, 12/1 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Shopping and food for all ages with our Secret Santa Workshop along with local vendors and crafters. Santa will be available for pictures: Friday from 6-7 and again on Sat 12-1. Pictures are only $5.00

Grace Episcopal Church presents the Cherry Valley Model Railroad Open House on Friday, December 6th from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, December 7th from 12-4 p.m. Free to public (donations accepted).

Eilandarts Center presents Art on First Saturday, December 7th at 6:00 p.m.

Merchantville Public Library presents Mr. Malcom's One Man Show on Wednesday, December 11th at 3:30 p.m.

Merchantville PTA Bookfair on December 12th from 5-9 p.m. at Barnes & Noble Cherry Hill featuring a scavenger hunt, story time and school choir perfomance.

Brass Ensemble Concert presented by Trinity United Methodist Church on December 15th.

The Wind Symphony of Southern New Jersey Concert at the First Presbyterian Church Sunday, December 15th at 4:30 p.m. Please join us for the concert and a chicken dinner afterwards in the church hall. RSVP required.

Cigar Alley's Annual Holiday Party featuring specials on cigars from the Miami Cigar Co. on Friday, December 13th from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Visit with Santa and enjoy breakfast treats at the Merchantville Community Center on Saturday, December 14th at 10:00-11:30 a.m. Please bring an item for the food pantry.

Merchantville School Winter Concert at 7:00 p.m. in the school auditorium on Wednesday, December 17th. Enjoy the sweet sounds of the holidays!
