The public is welcome to join us for our 6th Annual Veteran PTSD/Suicide Awareness Walk in Merchantville on Saturday, June 25th at 10:00 a.am. We will walk the Merchantville bike path starting behind Eclipse Brewery around Wellwood Park and finishing up back at Eclipse for a social gathering. These walks bring awareness to the suicide epidemic that is taking too many lives of our Veterans - on average 22 a day. The walk is free however we accept donations and will be selling event shirts to benefit Americas Vetdogs. You will help another Veteran find his or her way with the assistance of a life saving service animal. The event is proudly hosted by Merchantville American Legion Post 68 and Team RWB Philadelphia. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Come out to our first ever Happy Hour Fundraiser to benefit the Merchantville Business and Professional Association (aka Shop Merchantville). Eclipse Brewing has generously offered to donate a portion of the proceeds from every beer purchased on Monday, May 16 back to our Local Group. What is MBPA/Shop Merchantville? We are your local Downtown Shop and Business Owners that volunteer our time and energy. We are raising funds to improve your Downtown Merchantville experience – from free events, to cleaning and landscaping, as well as marketing our wonderful downtown. Many of our town events are organized, run and advertised by our hard working Business Owners (Art Walk, Mystical May, Toy Fair…). We want to support these small business owners as best we can! Eclipse has opened its doors and taps to us, so be sure to stop by and SHOP MERCHANTVILLE!

Clements Family Christmas trees shared a heads up yesterday. They will have no trees this year. Bob Clements is sorry to report they will not be selling Christmas trees on Cove Road at Inglesby Funeral Home during the 2021 season. "Sadly, we just can’t get enough of the quality trees we’ve always offered, so for only the 2nd time ever, our lights won’t be on. We’ll do our best to be back next year. Deepest thanks to our wonderful customers; for making us part of your holiday traditions. You’ve been like family and we'll miss you. Thanks also to the management at Inglesby for your friendship and kindness. Best wishes to all for a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2022." For more than 30 years the Clements family has been at Cove and Wyndham Roads with very fresh and beautiful Eastern PA Douglas and Fraser Firs. They will be missed!

It's going to be a delicious spring in Downtown Merchantville! Two new restaurants will be opening in our the downtown next month. Chef Omega Ellis will bring Omega’s to the McFarlan's Market space, at the corner of Park and N. Centre Streets in the borough. Before becoming the specialty chef at McFarlan's, Omega honed her skills as the store/deli manager at Costa's Market and Corinne’s Place, one of six restaurants in the country to receive the prestigious "America's Classics" award this year from the James Beard Foundation. The Shake Seafood, a fast-casual cajun seafood chain with two Philadelphia locations, will open in the former Merchantville Diner space. Thanks to the Courier-Post in listing Omega's, at 27 S. Centre, and The Shake Seafood, at 24 S. Centre Street, on its up-and-coming restaurant list.
