Spring special events at the Merchantville Library include Earth Day Craft on Monday, April 22, 6:30 p.m. and a Fairy Princess Party, Saturday, April 27, 2:00 p.m. Calling all princesses! Come dressed in your finest and enjoy stories, a craft, and treats. Also every Wednesday from 3:30-4:00 p.m. kids can register to make a craft. Children must be 4-11 years old to participate. On 4/17: Pop Up Spoon Chicks, 5/1: Popsicle Stick Chicks, 5/8: Hand Print Bouquet, 5/15: Paper Straw Tulips, 5/22: Wednesday Flicks, 5/29: Clay Pot Planting, and 6/5: Pineapple Finger Painting. See all spring programs throughout the county on our online calendar. On Wednesday, June 06, 2018 - 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM in Merchantville Library Area for children ages 3-12. A local favorite storyteller, Don Dougherty of Classroom Adventure Stories, returns to perform his new story Reading Rocks!

Everyone is welcome to join us for a special 2-hour Science Explorers club to get your summer science fun started! We’ll create colorful beach bags using chromatography, make super sidewalk chalk, and build solar ovens to bake some delicious s'mores!
This club is offered for grades 1-5 and will meet in the Science Lab.

"Pumpkin Painting Party" on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for kids of all ages. The library will provide the paint and the pumpkins. You provide the creativity. And, "Not All Brooms are Created Equal" on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. for kids of all ages. Make a clean sweep of the holidays with a cinnamon broom that has an aromatic cinnamon scent. Add your own flare with an assortment of long stemmed grasses and grains, ribbon, and more! Presented by Rachelle Hasenberg of Inspirational Horticultural Therapy.

Merchantville Public Library has been part of the Camden County Library system since 1928. It is located on the first floor of the Merchantville Public School and has been a joint project between the Merchantville Board of Education and the Camden County Library system since 1998. Merchantville may be the smallest branch, but it boasts 11 public computers, as well as a varied collection of adult, tween and children’s materials.
