The earlier you purchase your event ticket, the more bonus chips you will receive. Winning chips be “cashed in" for chances on prize baskets that will be drawn at the end of the night. Additional chips and purchase chances can be purchased throughout the evening. Additionally, rounding out the Casino theme, will be a Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament. The Tournament will culminate in a final round with awards of Visa gift cards for first and second place. Each seat costs $50. There will be a limited number of seats (50) available. Paid entry into the Casino Night is a pre-requisite for admission into the Poker Tournament. Tickets will be on sale after the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday and after the 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. Masses on Sunday. The first annual Greenies celebrating Irish Athletics was an incredible success. Just one glimpse at the spin of her breaking pitches or hearing the whizzing sound of her heater, it’s easy to see why Merchantville resident and Haddon Heights HS freshman, Sophia Bordi, is so successful in the pitching circle. But to know the true meaning of her dominance is to watch a steady line of opposing hitters go to the plate with a plan, only to return to the dugout three strikes later, wondering what went wrong. That scenario played out 307 times this year as Bordi put together one of the best seasons by a freshman in South Jersey history, pitching the Haddon Heights High School team to conference, sectional, state and Tournament of Champions titles this spring. During states the freshman blasted three home runs and struck out 15 batters en route to a shutout during the Haddon Heights High School’s softball team’s 8-0 championship-clincher. An all-around player and teammate!
