On Monday evening, September 23rd, Merchantville’s St. Peter School student choir had the honor of performing the National Anthem before the Phillies against the Chicago Cubs. The opportunity also served as a fundraiser as the school sold 340 tickets to the game with proceeds going to support music and drama programs. The choir is under the direction of Sarah Duvall Pearson and the event was coordinated by PTA treasurer Jessica Parker. The students, from grades throughout the elementary school,
had the unique opportunity to practice and pray in the tunnels under the stadium before the game, take part in the wave during the sellout game, and then watch the Phillies clinch the National League East title. Full gallery of Catholic Star Herald photos.
