Yesterday, Mayor Brennan had exciting news for our town sharing that Merchantville's Joint Land Use Board approved the site plan application for the redevelopment of the old PNC Bank Building on Centre Street the night before. This development was presented by owner, Michael PasquarelloBishop & Smith Architects and Site Civil Engineering. When completed, it will compliment the existing downtown vision of creating and driving interest and foot traffic to our Borough by bringing in desirable restaurants, services and entertainment. The mayor communicated his pride in the efforts that the Borough

has undertaken to work towards achieving this vision, particularly during the last fifteen plus years as they set out and took steps to attain it. He noted that there remains a lot of hard work ahead and how fortunate the Borough is to have hard working, capable people helping us get there, including great partners like Camden County, our legislators, and the private small business owners who have invested in the Borough, including our own business community at Shop Merchantville. I look forward to the grand opening of the La Chinesca in Merchantville in mid to late 2025 as well as the construction and opening of the Downtown Pedestrian Walkway and other improvement within the Borough. 2025 is shaping up to be quite the year for the Borough!
