Today's tip: Solar Eclipse Watching. While solar eclipses are exciting celestial events, it’s important to follow these safety tips. Wear solar glasses that meet the ISO 12312-2 standard. Stand still and cover your eyes with protective solar glasses. Supervise children during this eclipse. Do not use eclipse glasses with cameras, binoculars, and telescopes. Learn more here. Thank you for joining us in our commitment to fire safety!
Merchantville School will be open for a full day of classes on Mon, April 8. To ensure the safety and well-being of our students during the eclipse, we have implemented additional precautions: Indoor Dismissal on Monday, April 8th: In light of the solar eclipse, we will conduct an indoor dismissal procedure on Monday, April 8th. This decision is made to minimize any potential risks associated with outdoor activities during the eclipse. Providing Solar Eclipse Glasses: As our students leave for the day, we will be providing solar eclipse glasses to each student. These glasses are designed to safely view the eclipse and will be distributed to ensure that our students can observe this rare phenomenon without any harm to their eyes.
