Saturday, April 13th is sizing up to be a beautiful day and the borough has quite a line up of fun events for Merchantville kids and adults. The day starts at 10:00 a.m. with the Borough's Annual Egg Hunt at the Community Center where kids age 10 and under are invited to bring their baskets and join in egg-gathering fun. MLL Opening Day ceremonies begin right after the Egg Hunt at 11:15. Baseball, softball and T-ball teams will be announced, a group photo taken, and some first games played. There will be face painting and a bounce house for all children to enjoy. Merchantville's Market Off Centre will also be hosting a spring market along the trail in front of The Station starting at 11:00 a.m. Our Garden Club will host their Annual Daffodil Fest from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m where you can find daffodil bulb and pansy sales; a floral scavenger hunt; kid’s crafts; the "Little Engine That Could" book trail; a railway memorabilia display; a tree seedling give away; a potting party workshop and kids pollination game, just to name a few! Also, the Garden Club, Green Team, IE Merchantville and Shade Tree commission will provide information and answer questions about their clubs and projects.
