As we continue to honor Black History Month, the Merchantville Diversity Committee is seeking volunteers to serve on its committee. Your support and volunteerism makes our community better! If you are a Borough of Merchantville resident and want to get involved in efforts to support, educate, provide agency and advise the Borough government on issues relevant to the diverse people in and outside our community, please contact Mayor Brennan at This email address is being protected from spambots. the rich contributions of Black individuals throughout history and within our community and celebrate our Black community members' achievements, culture, and legacy that shape our society today. We recognize the invaluable contributions of our local Black business owners, officers, public officials, educators, and so many others who make Merchantville a vibrant and thriving small town. Their dedication and leadership inspire us all, and we are grateful for their continued impact on our community. Black history is American history, and the stories of perseverance, resilience, and innovation resonate within our town and beyond. We encourage our neighbors and constituents to take time this month (and always) to learn, reflect, and celebrate the remarkable history and culture of Black Americans. Whether it’s through supporting local businesses, attending nearby events, or simply having meaningful conversations, we can all play a part in fostering greater understanding and unity for all.
