Robert J. Gerold "Robbie" passed away peacefully on October 17, 2021 with his loving family by his side. He is the beloved husband of Doreen Gerold (nee Kozak). Devoted father of Jamie Deeley (Brad), Ryan Gerold (Lauren), Gavin Gerold, Nolan Gerold, Owen Gerold, and Pop of Bradley, Reese, Ryen, Brennan, and Colin. Cherished son of Robert and Marie (nee Gaul) Gerold. Loving brother of Teresa Ruisch, Brian Gerold, Christina Lucia, and Marie McCrea (Ed). Dear son in law of Jean and the late Martin Kozak and brother in law of Marty Kozak, David Kozak (Richelle), Michael Kozak (Donna) and Cheryl Kozak. Raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, he attended St. Anne School and North Catholic High School then, moved to Merchantville and quickly became the "self proclaimed" Mayor. He enjoyed listening to music and drinking beers with family and friends in his backyard "paradise", was the life of the party and always made you feel like you were family. Diagnosed with metastatic melanoma in 2011, he fought courageously through many clinical trials that gave him more ten years and will save countless others. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Saturday October 23, 2021 from 8:00-10:45 am in St. Anne Church (upper) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia.
