George C. Smith, age 78, formerly of Merchantville passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2019. He was born and raised in Trenton and after graduation he enrolled in the U.S. Coast Guard stationed in Cape May as a Corpsman, E-5. After his service, he worked for many years at the 3M Company. George was a big participant and volunteer with Grace Episcopal Church in Merchantville. He headed up plenty of church dinners, served on the vestry, choir and alter guild. Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 22nd at Grace Episcopal Church, 7 East Maple Avenue, Merchantville.
