Enjoy a twilight tour

Experience the ship during the evening hours as the Battleship’s Curator will lead a unique tour to show the more “adult” side of our nation’s largest Battleship including areas of the Battleship not on the public tour. Hear interesting stories and check out some of the adult sailor art. You’ll even enjoy a cold beer, glass of wine or soft drink on the main deck after your tour. Twilight Tours are $34.95 per adult — over 21 only. Salmonella melon recall

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Friday that the recall includes cut watermelon, honeydew and cantaloupe produced by Caito Foods LLC. A total of 93 people in nine states have reported experiencing symptoms after consuming the fruitThe fruit has been sold under various brands or labels at Kroger, Walmart, Trader Joe's, Target and Whole Foods. Health officials advise consumers to check packaging to determine if the melon was distributed by Caito Foods, and, if so, not to eat it. They advise stores to pull the products from shelves.

Electric outages reported

The interactive PSE& G Outage Map showed that fewer than 5 customers had reported they were affected by the storms that blew through the borough a fer hours ago. The outages were first reported around 5:18 a.m. and electricity is expected to be restored by 10:30 a.m. The reports are from the east side of town on Franklin Avenue and west side on Springfield.

Social media outages

Facebook Inc’s social networking site has been inaccessible to some users across the world on Sunday since 6:28 AM EDT. Are you also affected? According to Downdetector.com, a website which monitors outages. The outage tracking website showed that there are more than 9000 incidents of people reporting issues with Facebook. Check Downdetector.com’s live outage map showed that the issues mainly cropped up in Europe. Downdetector.com also showed that there were issues with WhatsApp and Instagram, but with relatively lower count of outage reports.

Pennsauken Trails project

Opening Day for Trails is the national kickoff celebration for the spring trail season. Started by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy Rails-to-Trails Conservancy in 2013 and encourages people to get outside and celebrate America’s exceptional trails and trail systems. On Saturday, April 13th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00p.m. Pennsauken will celebrate at Madison Park, 38th Street and Chestnut Avenue for a day of food, fun and festivities as we celebrate Opening Day for Trails along the future section of the Burlington-Camden Trail in Pennsauken. Mingle with Township Committeewoman Betsy McBride and elected leaders in the community. Learn about the developing trail project, including exploring renderings, its future footprint and connections to The Circuit Trails. Pennsauken is the site of a disused rail segment between Dudley Grange Park and the “Merchantville Mile,” a well-used rail-trail running through the neighboring community of Merchantville, New Jersey. If transformed into a trail, the Pennsauken segment could provide a safe off-road connection to the Ben Franklin Bridge and into Philadelphia. Disney+ $6.99, Netfix $12.99

Disney just showed everyone how it plans to beat Netflix. Create an exclusive home for some of the world's most popular movies, shows and characters, and charge a shockingly low price for it. On Thursday they unveiled their long-awaited streaming service, Disney+. It will cost just $6.99 per month — about half the price of a standard Netflix subscription. Disney+ has already sent waves through the media and entertainment world. "I'm sure this was a signal to Netflix and everybody else out there that's charging $4, $5, $6 more than this," said Trip Miller, a Disney shareholder and managing partner at Gullane Capital Partners. "They're here to take market share and eyeballs away from the competition."
