Congressman Andrews announced that Merchantville will receive $320,000 in federal funds to improve its waste and storm water sewers. The Storm Water Management Systems Improvements Project will alleviate flooding that has caused consistent water damage to homes, cars, and railroads in the community.
The first initiative of the project, set to begin in the upcoming week, will reline the current outdated terracotta pipes used for wastewater. The second portion, starting later this summer, will install new piping to manage the flow of storm water. http://1.usa.gov/17ZAAbv
