Peter Burgess and Janet Stevens, life-long “Philly Fruit” customers, grew up in Merchantville and Pennsauken. Pete and Janet purchased the store in 2009 and the former Philly Fruit was completely renovated and renamed McFarlan's Market in honor of William McFarlan, who owned a Meat Market at the site in the 1800s. Today, the whole staff at McFarlan's Market takes pride in offering our customers the finest of prime butchered meats & poultry,
crisp produce, bakery fresh breads, cheeses and salads. We are a full-service market with groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, fresh sliced deli and take home entrees.
