In addition to approval of the 2012 Municipal Budget, items on the agenda for the Monday, April 9th Council meeting include the awarding of two contracts, rejection of two bids and a resolution to restore energy tax funds. A contract to replace the Community Center roof
will be awarded to Laurant Construction Co., Inc. 3 Meadows Ct., Pennington NJ in an amount not to exceed $128,434.00. A contract for completing improvements to the Chestnut Avenue Multiple Use Path will be awarded to GWP Enterprises, Inc. 4344 Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ in an amount not to exceed $305,084.25. Bids for the renovation of the ladies bathroom at the Merchantville Senior Center and Fire Department roof were rejected because the bids did not meet the requirements regarding proper documents and were not reasonable. The 2012 Budget will be adopted and constitutes an appropriation in the amount of $4,898,467.36 for municipal purposes. Additionally, the Mayor and Governing Body of the Borough of Merchantville resolve to join with the League of Municipalities in calling for the immediate restoration of funding diverted from Energy Taxes intended for local use. 2012 Resolutions
