PUBLIC NOTICE: Merchantville Residents Featured

We will be closing the EOC at 7:00 AM. Half of the Borough East of Maple Terrace is without power, including traffic signals at Maple & Cove and at Park & Cove. No information available on PSE&G response times. All major roads throughout the Borough are open.

A few side streets are blocked by trees, but have wires involved. Unknown when we will be able to get them open. Numerous branches and limbs down throughout town, we ask residents to please be careful if you are traveling around the Borough.

All schools and Borough offices closed on Tuesday. Anyone who has a medical emergency or fire emergency needs to dial 911.

PSE& G Storm Updates

 

In the event that people need to leave their home they should go to the Merchantville Elementary School - gym located at 130 South Centre Street. They will then be transferred from that location to the Pennsauken Middle School by bus where a shelter will be set up.  If residents have water of 6" or less in their basement; the fire department will be unable to pump it out. Additional information will be posted on the Municipal Website and will be available on Pennsauken Public Access television, Chanel 19, as it becomes available. 

 

SCHOOL CLOSINGS - MONDAY, 10/30/12
Merchantville Elementary School, St. Peter School, St. Stephen's School, Pennsauken High School, Camden Catholic High School, Paul VI High School and Bishop Eustace High School.

 

Due to Hurricane Sandy, NJ TRANSIT systemwide suspension of bus, rail and light rail service is in effect until further notice.

 

PATCO rail service will be suspended early Monday (10/29) morning and will resume on Tuesday as soon as conditions allow. The last train to Lindenwold will leave the 15th/16th and Locust Station in Philadelphia at 2:50 a.m. The last train to Philadelphia will leave Lindenwold at 2:15 a.m.

 

The Camden County Library System’s eight branches, all Camden County Parks and Superior Court will be closed tomorrow for Hurricane Sandy. Tuesday’s opening will be assessed based on storm conditions.
