Redevelopment initiative gets started Featured
The Ragan Design Group is helping the Borough of Merchantville develop an Amended Redevelopment Plan for the triangular area defined by Centre, Park, and Chestnut. A redevelopment committee, comprised of residents and business owners, meet on a monthly basis. This page is intended to share information about the process
and to obtain public input on proposed concepts. A public workshop will also be held soon so please check this page often. Minutes of meetings can be found on the official Borough website. Follow the progress on their Facebook page.
At its April meeting, the Redevelopment Committee identified the following goals for the redevelopment area:
1. Pedestrian-oriented
2. Create a destination or network of destinations that will attarct people to the downtown.
3. Create a sense of space with architectural character.
4. Financially feasible for the redeveloper.
5. Adequate parking for downtown
