Monsterville is haunting this weekend! Meet up on North Centre Street from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. this weekend for Aradia’s Mystery & Magic Metaphysical Street Fair. Featuring speciality curated vendors with magical curios, quality handmade goods, crystals & gemstones, tarot readings, psychics & mediums plus a very special “Boogie BOO!” thematic concert by April Mae & The June Bugs from 11:00 -1:00 on the Victorian Porch at 19 N. Centre Street. This thematic concert highlights the music of their artful “Boogie BOO!” double album – performing music inspired by themes of the supernatural and the folklore and archetypes of Halloween and Samhain. “This music channels and transports you into the energy of the season.” said Marisa Liza Pell, internationally renowned medium, TV and radio personality.

If street fairs aren’t your jam come on over to Merchantville School’s 8th Grade Haunted Jail on Friday, October 16th and Saturday, the 17th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. where they’ll serve up major thrills and chills. The “The Not-So-Spooky / Non-Scary Hour” (6:00 PM – 7:00 PM) is designed for younger children – lights stay on, and the “scar-actors” wave and smile or dare to try the “Scary Hours” (7:00 PM – 10:00 PM) where the real frights begin for those looking to scare their socks off!

Checking out what else is happening? The Monsterville Art Show at Storynook, inside Ryan’s Retail at 22 N. Centre Street, will be showcasing local artists, vendors form 6:00-9:00 p.m. with a friendly costume contest at 8:00 p.m. There will be light refreshments for all guests, and a sweet treat vendor with gluten free and vegan options. Storynook is a woman-owned independent bookstore specializing in fantasy books, antique furniture, local artists, and more. There is no entry fee for this event but $5 donations are encouraged.
