Edward Allen Barber of Marlton, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 11th, 2026. He was 95 years of age. Born in Davistown, PA, the son of the late Francis H. and Clara F. (née Weimer) Barber. The beloved husband of Ada Patricia Otto Barber, and the loving father of Steven Edward (Laurie), Douglas Penn (Patti), and Michael Francis (Ashley), and cherished grandfather of six grandchildren. Edward was deeply involved in the Merchantville, NJ community, contributing his time to the town council, the planning board, and youth baseball as an umpire. He taught Business Education at Pennsauken HS from 1961 – 1986 and introduced the first technology and computer classes there.
An avid lover of the Jersey Shore, Edward spent much of his time sailing, crabbing, clamming, and taking in the sunsets. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bradley & Stowe Funeral Home. Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 17th, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Wiley Church, located at 99 E. Main Street, Marlton, NJ. The service will immediately follow at 12:00 Noon., Medford, NJ. Interment will be private. Full obituary.
