Freeholders Jeffrey Nash and Scot McCray read to children in Merchantville on Friday as part of this year’s Read Across America celebration. On Thursday, January 16th, the Girls Garnets from Haddon Heights High School won their fifth basketball game in a row and improved to 9-3 overall - extending their winning streak - and 6-1 in the Colonial Conference Liberty Division, a game behind first-place Haddon Township. Emma Harris buried four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 18 points to lead Haddon Heights past Haddonfield 39-33 in Haddonfield. Many MES Knights have become high school Garnets and participate

Haddon Height's High girls softball loss is Oklahoma's gain. Merchantville native and Haddon Heights High School softball standout, Sophia Bordi, has re-classified and will be missing her senior season to join the Oklahoma Sooners - four-time reigning college softball champions. Bordi had committed to the collegiate team in September 2024. A two-time Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year, Bordi's stats read like an all-star lineup. St. Pete's PTA plans Monte Carlo Night
The earlier you purchase your event ticket, the more bonus chips you will receive. Winning chips be “cashed in" for chances on prize baskets that will be drawn at the end of the night. Additional chips and purchase chances can be purchased throughout the evening. Additionally, rounding out the Casino theme, will be a Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament. The Tournament will culminate in a final round with awards of Visa gift cards for first and second place. Each seat costs $50. There will be a limited number of seats (50) available. Paid entry into the Casino Night is a pre-requisite for admission into the Poker Tournament. Tickets will be on sale after the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday and after the 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. Masses on Sunday. First Greenies Awards
The first annual Greenies celebrating Irish Athletics was an incredible success. We celebrated the many wins both on and off the field, from our Catholic Athletes for Christ award for Team Service, to the Irish Giving Day Fundraising Award, Fan of the Year and the Rookie of the Year, the evening was an entertaining recap of the 23-24 year in sports at Camden Catholic.
