For the first time in history, Camden County’s bond rating has been upgraded to AA, the result of smart fiscal practices by our finance and management teams. We see 2014 as the year that economic recovery will take hold in Camden County. Code Blue ALERT
Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez, liaison to the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services, advises municipalities that Camden County will be under a “Code Blue” severe weather advisory tonight. Volunteer for Bikeshare
Camden County needs volunteers to help with refurbishing donated bikes for its Bikeshare program, which seeks to provide bicycles on loan or permanent use for people in communities throughout the County that become local BikeShare members. Repairs are done Tuesday evenings from 5:30-8 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 9 a.m.- noon. Prior knowledge and bike repair skills are appreciated, but not needed.
Heat Alert through this weekend
Camden County Health Officer, Carmen Rodriguez, has issued a Heat Alert for Camden County through Friday, July 19, effective noon to 8:00 P.M. each day. The weather forecast for this week calls for the temperatures above 95° and heat indexes over 100°. Municipalities were notified to open municipal cooling centers to the public and residents in need should call 856-662-2474.
