Kids Kits are a new service offered by the Camden County Library System at Merchantville and its seven other branches throughout the county. Each pack contains four or five books with a common theme, a list of related songs, rhymes and a suggestion for a simple craft. Members of the library can check out Kids’ Kits for a three-week period
from any one of the library system’s eight branches. Kids Kits are available on loan to members of the Camden County Library System at any one of eight branches. The kits have seasonal themes such as fall, leaves and pumpkins or year-round topics such as colors and numbers. Caregivers can use the kits for an at-home story time or as a starting point for other activities, such as a trip to the park.
Kids Kits can be found in the children’s area of the library system’s eight local branches in: Bellmawr, Camden (Ferry Ave. and Rutgers Downtown), Gloucester Twp., Haddon Twp., Merchantville, South County (Winslow Twp.) or Voorhees. At this time the kits cannot be reserved through the library’s catalog and have to be picked up at one of the branch locations.
