Merchantville native Janet Stevens joined the family real estate business after graduating from Franklin & Marshall College in 1981. The Realtor blood in her veins flows back to her great-grandfather, who built and sold residential houses and lots in what became known as the Amon Heights section of Pennsauken.

Three years ago, Janet and her husband, Pete Burgess, opened McFarlan’s Market in Merchantville, which originated as a butcher shop in the late 19th century. Most recently, it was the Philadelphia Fruit Market. Burgess is a professional engineer and land surveyor who joined Stevens Management in 2005. McFarlans will be celebrating our third anniversary this Memorial Day. http://on.cpsj.com/YzoMa6
