It is with great sadness that the Merchantville Police Department announced the passing of Retired Sergeant Matthew Rulli. Sergeant Rulli passed away in the early hours of January 19th at his home in the company of family after a 38 month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the loving husband of Christina L. On Saturday, September 23rd, the Merchantville Class of 1963 had its 60-Year Class Reunion at Maritsa's Restaurant in Maple Shade. Considering their ages - around 78 - they had a pretty good showing with classmates coming from as far away as Florida and Switzerland. Yes, once again, our exchange student Marty Monsch and his wife traveled over 4,000 miles to join us. After all these years, I don't think he's ever missed a reunion.

Dorothy Mae Schimpf, longtime Pennsauken resident, went to be with the Lord at the age of 93 on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Dottie was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Merchantville. She also served on the board of the Camden Home for Children for many years. She gave of her gifts and time volunteering for Urban Promise.  In her younger years she especially enjoyed being part of the theatrical events for the Merchantville Women’s Club.
