Merchantville resident, Brigid Brennan, AHP, CYT, CMT, will be giving a free talk on Ayurvedic Medicine and curbing the aging process at the Haddon Twp. Branch of the Camden County Library System on Wednesday, February 11th, from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. She will discuss herbal remedies as well as lifestyle and dietary practices which encourage the rejuvenative processes of the body and mind.
Brigid's interest in alternative medicine began when she started practicing yoga in 2000. She received massage training at Lourdes Institute of Wholisitic Studies and went on to study Reiki through the master level under Elsie Kerns. She received her yoga teaching certificate through Yoga on Main. During this course she was introduced to Ayurveda and studied with Dr. Ed Zadlo, receiving her degree as an Ayurvedic Practitioner from California College of Ayurveda in May 2009. Brigid operated Manifest Health Alternative Medicine in Merchantville from 2010-2013 and currently offers holistic care, yoga and massage services by appointment. Her goal is to treat and educate in a manner that builds self-sufficiency in maintaining ones own health.
