Public service is a family thing, says Ted Brennan, the newly-appointed mayor of Merchantville. Brennan's father, Patrick, served as the borough's mayor from 1995 to 2006. "And my uncle Michael was mayor of Collingswood for 20 years," adds Ted.
Ted, 35, has lived in Merchantville since he was a toddler. He went to the borough's elementary school, and is a third-generation graduate of Camden Catholic High School. After studying at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, he earned his law degree from Rutgers University-Camden, and after a year of clerking for a superior court judge, he joined the Cherry Hill firm of Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader. He's been on Merchantville's town council for the past eight years.
