Help your Community While Earning a Living! The Merchantville Police Department is looking for permanent and substitute crossing guards for the 2026-2027 school year. School crossing guards provide a level of safety to ensure students walking to and from school are getting there safely. Individuals should be available to work weekdays, Monday through Friday, during the following hours: Mornings from 7:50 – 8:20 a.m., afternoons from 2:50 – 3:20 p.m. and on half days from 12:45 – 1:15 p.m.
All candidates must be in good physical condition and able to walk and stand for a minimum of thirty minutes. All candidates are subject to a Background Investigation and Medical Screening.
