Register today for a summer full of fun with Merchantville Parks and Playgrounds! From June 26 through July 28 kids aged pre-k to 11 can join Borough counselors at the Community Center for play and learning. Children will participate in games, explore the playground, enjoy arts and crafts and create some amazing memories! Parks and Playgrounds operates Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Merchantville Community Center, 212 Somerset Ave (no session on July 4).

The MPWC is currently recruiting for the position of Operations Assistant. The Operations Assistant is responsible for assisting in day-to-day duties including assisting with recruitment and onboarded processes, filing and maintaining forms and other documents, and coordinating as a fully cross-trained part of the Finance team. While this position seeks a candidate with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in accounting, business or a related field, commensurate work history/experience may be substituted. It was another busy, fun day on Tuesday, April 4th, at Merchantville School as members from several Borough services, teachers and others joined the students for a day of reading! Mayor Ted Brennan, our Camden County Librarian Ms. Orbanus and former teachers Mrs. Fields, Mrs. Harvey-Wilson, and Mrs. Batterman shared their love of reading with Merchantville's youngest residents. The Borough of Merchantville is now accepting applications for Parks and Playgrounds Director. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the overall Parks and Playgrounds program and approves all daily camp activities with the program Co-Director. He/she is responsible for communicating with parents, guardians and other camp staff during and outside camp hours of operation. The Director is responsible for the care, safety, protection and supervision of the camp environments, staff and participants.

Camden County hazardous waste collections began on on Saturday, March 25th. During these collections, county residents can bring hazardous materials not suited to be thrown out into the regular garbage such as antifreeze, oil-based paints, weed killer, household cleansers and more. The next five collection dates will be held on April 15th at the Public Works Complex. 713 N. Atlantic Avenue, in Collingswood; May 6th in the parking area at the corner of Atco and Raritan avenues, in Atco; June 10th at the Camden County Public Works
